So now your feelings are hurt, you're feeling stupid, you're blaming yourself and you regret ever saying "I love you" to some one who not only did not deserve it, but did not feel the same way. The complications and difficulty that come from moving on from a love that led to pain are somethings that can never be explained. Being able to see that it's time to move takes a lontg time. No one has 20/20 vision when their in love. Everyone has had that "I need him around, he all I got" feeling; "Its right there in front of your face but, you got your rose colored glasses on" kind of relationship; "Low self esteem, so you think he's the best you can do" mind frame; or the "It's gonna get better soon, I know we will be happy together once we get over some obstacles" thought.
Don't kidd yourself. If he ain't shit now, he won't be later. Relationships like that don't ever get better, they get worse. He's not going to stop lying to you, he's just going to get better at it. He's definitely not going to start caring about you if he doesn't care now. No matter who you are, if your giving someone your love and affection, you deserve that much back. If your not getting what your giving, then move on. Be fair to yourself by being honest with yourself. You can't love someone else if you don't love yourself first. He won't respect you if you don't have enough sense to realize that he crossed the line years ago. You'll know when you truly begin loving yourself, because your standards will rise.
Don't ever make the mistake of putting up with his bullshit, your worth more. You don't have to stay with him because he treated you good in the beginning of the relationship, now you see the real him. It's okay to leave him, he will get over it and so will you. It doesn't matter how long yall been together, everything's not meant to be. If he doesn't know how to treat you, you are allowed to say you don't want it any more. You are not required to accept him and what he currently has to offer. Ladies have to learn to say "Thank You, But No Thank You."
